The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will continue to make terrible choices that could land her in even more trouble. After Phyllis kills Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in self-defense on the April 17 episode, she’ll try to dispose of the body.
Of course, people who hide bodies tend to look guilty!
If Phyllis had called the cops right away, she probably could’ve convinced them that her dangerous ex-con husband left her no choice but to defend herself.
Phyllis could’ve easily argued that Stark preyed on her emotions or even drugged her to convince her to marry him.
Maybe Phyllis could’ve claimed Jeremy threatened her children if she didn’t go along with his grand Diane setup plan.
There’s still a chance Phyllis will try to sell that story down the road, but this body disposal could come back to haunt her.
Phyllis could get arrested for Stark’s murder since someone innocent would’ve just called the police instead of wrapping a corpse up and dragging it elsewhere.
Unfortunately, there’s another problem that Phyllis may have to contend with.
Y&R fans can’t forget that EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) knows everything and was paid for his role in faking Phyllis’ death.
Carson certainly won’t want to land behind bars and could push for an immunity deal in the end.
This EMT could be Phyllis’ downfall, especially if he recalls how she was barking orders to Stark and holding her own against him.
After Phyllis’ survival comes to light and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) starts gathering new evidence, things could look bad for her.
It may seem like Phyllis intentionally murdered Jeremy and arranged to skip town to a tropical island where he sent half her money to an offshore account.
Naturally, Phyllis could also face charges over her faked demise and the Diane frame-up.
Will Phyllis get arrested eventually? It’d be fitting for Phyllis to help frame Diane for a crime she didn’t commit only to get arrested herself!
It’s possible Phyllis will avoid handcuffs if she can spin all this in her favor, but it’d be more dramatic for her to wind up in a jail cell feeling alone.
Phyllis has done some pretty outrageous things lately, so the audience needs to see her suffer some consequences or the story won’t be satisfying.
Nevertheless, you can’t keep Phyllis down for long, so she’ll surely find a path to freedom no matter how the rest of this storyline plays out.
It’s just a matter of whether Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) can forgive Phyllis once they learn what she put them through!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will have to reevaluate her plan and make plenty of updates along the way, so stay tuned for news on all her plotting.
